*ITEM:  COORS BEER and KLAS TV 8 1953 First Nevada T.V. Station Show Tiny Promo Mug

*MANUFACTURER: Adolph Coors

*MODEL:  Tiny KLAS T.V. Station Promo Coors Mug To Promote Nevada's First T.V. Stations Very 1st Show

*YEAR:  1953, this year is when the first Nevada T.V. station started up and when KLAS's first show "I led 3 lives" started up also. The show only ran 3 years. 

*MATERIAL:  Clay or something like that.

*MEASURES:  Tiny, approx. 1 1/2" Tall,  1 1/8" belly dia.

*CONDITION:  Good used, some very minor dings. Tag is kinda warped and has some edge wear. No creases noticed.

*FEATURESTag with the "I Led 3 Lives" logo and KLAS-TV 8 printing on it.

KLAS-TV In July 1953, KLAS Channel 8 became the first television station in the state of Nevada.

Richard Carlson (April 29, 1912- November 21, 1977) The 1950s proved a busy time for Carlson. He continued to direct, this time in television and documentary films. He also was the star of the television series I Led Three Lives from 1953-1956.

I Led Three Lives was an American television show which was syndicated by Ziv Television Programs from 1953 to 1956. It was loosely based on the life of Herbert Philbrick, a Boston advertising executive who infiltrated the U.S. Communist Party on behalf of the FBI in the 1940s and wrote a bestselling book on the topic, I Led Three Lives: Citizen, 'Communist', Counterspy (1952). The part of Philbrick was played by Richard Carlson.
