*ITEM:   REVERE 1955 P 888 Automatic 35mm Vintage Self Operating Slide Projector Used

*MODEL:  P-888 Automatic 2 X 2 & Bantam

*YEAR: 1955 A copy of the advertising ad was found on the internet. This projector was manufactured on or near 1955

*RETAILED:  $119.50 in 1955.

*CONDITION:  "NEEDS A LIGHT BULB" or the light fixture electrical circuit repaired. I was told the light bulb was shot and needs to be replaced but I can't verify for myself that the bulb is bad so "Buyer will be responsible for any electrical repairs if any are needed". 

I did turn the projector on and fead the trays through it. The trays did feed and moved through without any apparent problems. Big loud clicks were heard each time the tray advanced. The blower fan came on loud. The tray advance speeds were checked and the trays fead through as well as can be expected. The manual selector knob turned each time the tray was advanced which appeared to be normal. When I switched over to manual feed the knob didn't move the tray but after I pulled a lever on the side of the projector the tray moved manually.

I guess all was normal with this projector for the time period it was manufactured in except the light bulb didn't come on. I can't really say if anything else is wrong with it, just that the functions appeared to be working properly.
