*ITEM: PENN No 77 Seahawk Vintage Open Fishing Reel Green Knobs
*MANUFACTURER: Penn
*MODEL: No. 77 Seahawk. The handle is always engaged on this model and there is no function to let the spool free wheel. The Seahawk name isn't imprinted on the reel but it is the Seahawk reel.
*YEAR: This one, 1950's or 1960's. These reels were produced from the 1950's thru the late 1980's.
*SPECS: 125 yds, 36 lb line
*COLORS: All brown including side plates and spool. Green knobs.
*YEAR: Mid 1950's through Early 1980's. This reel is 1960's manufactured.
*MEASURES: Approx. 1 5/8" spool opening width, 2 1/2" dia. body sides
*CONDITION: This fishing reel needs to be oiled just to assure proper maintenance. All the functions were checked and all are operating properly. This reel was used regularly and has lots of noticeable dings, knicks, scratches, marks and use wear. No cracks in the sideplates. The chrome that is on this reel is really worn with no shine and what appears to be the starting of some minor surface rust in places.
*ECCENTRIC LEVER: None
*CLICK BUTTON: Moves freely up or down. Loud clicking is heard when button is moved up, no clicking is heard when button is moved down.
*STAR DRAG WHEEL: None
*CRANK HANDLE: Straight with no cracks noticed in the knobs. Engages spool properly and turns freely with no slippage. This spool does not free wheel at all. The handle is always engaged. No side play in the handle shaft. Very slight hair in and out shaft play.
*SPOOL: Bakelite spool with noticeable wear. Spool turns freely. The fishing line is still on the spool and the spool under the line was not inspected.
*FEATURES: Used for salt water bottom fishing, pier fishing, fresh water lakes, ponds, streams and rivers.
