*MANUFACTURER: BKA Czechoslovakia. Made replica firearms for Hollywood movies.
*MODEL: BKA 98 Stage Prop
*REPLICA MODEL: 1873 Single Action Army .45 Revolver
*YEAR: Possibly these were produced in the 1950's. Research tells me these stage guns were imported by MGM in the 1950's for use in their movies.
*AMMO: Uses special cap ammo that's probably not avalible. There is no striker stem on the hammer.
*MATERIAL: Cast pot steel
*MEASURES: Approx. 10 1/2" L, 5" H
*CONDITION: Very very used. This stage gun is "Broken". The hammer is loose and swings back and forth on its own and will not seat in the hammer slot properly. BKA did make none functioning shadow box guns and the hammer may have been taken off another gun and put on this one. The hammer just doesn't seem to be able to contact the cap and pop the cap without the striker stem.
The trigger lever is jammed in place and will not move at all. The cap cylinder does not spin and is jammed. One of the gun housing screws is missing below the cylinder. One side of the wooden grip has a small piece missing on the corner. Lots of missing black paint places where the gun was knocked around. The barrel site looks like it was manufactured with just a nub or ground down.
The buyer will be responsible for knowing about this prop gun before the purchase and getting it repaired after the purchase. This stage prop gun is all messed up.
