*ITEM:  KD Tools KD 278 Vintage Drum Brake Resetting Tool Used

*MANUFACTURER:  K-D Tools

*MODEL:  No. 278 Drum Brake Resetting Tool

*YEAR:  Unknown, Vintage.  New ones are model no. 3377

*MATERIAL: Plated steel

*MEASURES:  Marked 8" to 14 1/2" with 1/16" increments. See photo.

*CONDITION:  Very used, lots of dings, knicks, scratches, marks, soil and wear. It is unknown to me how accurate these calipers are. They are just built to tranfer measurements with a locking knob. Calipers were checked with a straight edge and all looks good at the tips. Arms are offset at the base so some clearance was noticed there but no clearance was noticed at the arm ends. Arm ends were checked with a straight edge from arm end to arm end and the straight edge lined up nicely with each opposite arm end. These calipers checked out great for no warping. The knob releases and the calipers spread easily and lock back down properly.
