*ITEM:  PENN PEER 109 Vintage Deep Sea Open Fishing Reel Used

*MANUFACTURER:  Penn

*MODEL:  Peer No. 109. This is the only Penn reel to have the double stick out handles.

*YEAR:  This reel is estimated to have been produced in the late 1950's or early 1960's. These reel models were produced from 1942 until 2002. The 1950's and 1960's models have the torpedo handles in different colors except for this Penn 109 model which has the double stick out handles. In the early 1970's Penn started using single rubberized handles.

*MEASURES:  Approx. 5" including the handle knobs, 2 1/2" dia.

*CONDITION:  This fishing reel needs to be oiled. All the functions were checked and all are operating properly. The spindle free wheeling is done from the drag knob, side lever locks spindle in one direction and pushing the level the other way unlocks and lets the spindle move on both directions, side clicker button adds and removes sound, drag knob locks the spindle solid when turned to its extreme maximum position. Line leveler moves back and forth without any problems noticed.
