*ITEM: ROLLER SKATES Union Hardware No 5 Metal Wheels Antique
*MANUFACTURER: Union Hardware before Brunswick aquired Union Hardware.
*MODEL: Number 5
*YEAR: Before 1954. Brunwick took over Union Hardware in 1954. These skates do not have the Brunswick name on them. After 1954 Brunswick was stamped into the metal under Union.
*MATERIAL: Pressed steel
*MEASURES: Adjustable. Adjusted to 9 1/4 in picture.
*CONDITION: The buckle strap on the right skate is missing. The right skate does have the long insertion strap but it's in bad worn shape. The left skate has both the buckle and insertion straps both in really worn condition. All 8 wheels spin freely but probably could use some grease. There is some minor play in all the wheels but small amount of play in normal especially for a pair of skates that was used a lot. There's lots of use wear, dings, scratches, marks, soil and a small amount of warping in the sheet metal. The trucks look in good shape. There's some minor surface rust also.
